Prerequisites:

  • Windows computer with the .NET framework v2 or higher installed. This is installed by default on Windows XP Service Pack 2, Vista and Windows 7
  • An internet connection
  • A valid email address – you will be sent a confirmation with your initial credentials
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox (see below)

Mobile Users

You will need a Windows Mobile 5 or higher device with an internet connection. The connection can be WiFi, Cellular or via a cradle.  Mobile installation steps:

  • Open Internet Explorer – by clicking Start Menu->Internet Explorer or Start Menu->Programs
  • Type to following URL in the Internet Explorer address bar:  http://m.wirelessfieldservice.com/setup.htm
  • Click the link to install and launch the application
  • You can install the application to any directory or just take the default ‘device’
  • Run the mobile application – by clicking the Start Menu->Programs->wfsMobile
  • Logon with your company code, username and password

Notes:

  • The ‘Start Menu’ is always in the upper left of the device and looks like the ‘Windows Flag’
  • Mobile users must be setup on the server using the web application

To uninstall the mobile application:

  • On the mobile device, click ‘Start Menu->Settings’
  • Select the ‘System’ tab
  • Select ‘Remove Programs’
  • Select ‘wfsMobile’ and click ‘Remove’
